Hello, my dear readers and loyal followers!
So, today, as I was casually working on my computer and half-listening to the news, I heard Trump’s name pop up again. And honestly, I couldn’t believe my ears or my eyes.
At first, I thought it must have been some old archive footage or a rerun of previous news, but nope — it was a fresh, breaking story. Another attempt on Donald Trump’s life!
I mean, what’s going on in America, folks? Have people over there truly lost their marbles, like rabid dogs in the race for the next presidency?
Has it really come to the point where someone takes up arms and puts their life and the lives of others in danger, all in the name of taking out Trump again?
What must have snapped in the head of 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspect now in custody, to think, “Yeah, let’s do this!”?
But let’s dive into the facts and see what actually went down.
The Assassination Attempt
The first and most important news: Trump is alive and unharmed!
While Trump was out on the golf course this past Sunday in Florida, a gunman was reportedly spotted hiding in the bushes some 300–500 meters away.
The Secret Service quickly opened fire, but the shooter managed to escape in a black Nissan. Luckily, a witness snapped a photo of the license plate as the man fled from the bushes. The car was later spotted on the I-95 freeway, about 50 miles from the scene, where it was finally stopped, and the suspect was detained.
The witness identified the man as being present at the scene of the alleged assassination attempt, though Special Agent Rafael Barros from the Secret Service Miami Field Office stated during a briefing that the agency was “not sure if the individual even managed to fire at our agents.” So, there’s still uncertainty over whether any shots were fired at all.
Law enforcement did find an AK47 with a scope, two backpacks with ceramic plates, and a GoPro camera in the bushes where the suspect was hiding, according to Palm Beach Sheriff Bradshaw.
Several officials confirmed to CBS News that the suspect’s name is Ryan Wesley Routh. He is 58 years old and has had previous run-ins with the law, according to court records. As of now, no clear motive has been established.

What Do We Know About Routh?
Routh has been openly critical of Trump on social media. On X (formerly known as Twitter), he once wrote:
“@realDonaldTrump — While you were my choice in 2016, I and the world hoped you’d be different as a president. We were sorely disappointed, and you’ve only gotten worse.”
He posted this in June 2020, adding, “I’ll be glad when you’re gone.”
In another post, he referenced the July 13th shooting, suggesting that Biden and Harris should attend the funeral of a participant killed at the rally.
Most intriguingly, Routh also had plenty to say about the war in Ukraine. In one post, he declared, “I’m ready to go fight and DIE to defeat Putin!”
He has been interviewed by several news agencies, including The New York Times, Semafor in 2023, and Newsweek Romania in 2022, where he talked about recruiting volunteer fighters to aid Ukraine in its fight against Russia. Whether these efforts bore any fruit is unclear, but he did say in the interview, “This is a fight between good and evil.”

Who Is Ryan Wesley Routh?
Routh has spent most of his life in North Carolina. He once owned a shed-building business called Camp Box Honolulu and even lived for a time in Hawaii.
He graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 1998.
His brushes with the law go back to the 1990s, according to court documents. A law enforcement source told CBS News that between 2002 and 2010, Routh was charged and convicted of several crimes in Guilford County, North Carolina.
In 2002, he was charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction — a felony, according to North Carolina Department of Correction records. In another incident, he faced charges for a hit-and-run, resisting arrest, and other misdemeanors.
Trump’s Response
As expected, Trump took to social media to thank the U.S. Secret Service and Palm Beach Sheriff Bradshaw for the excellent work they did, along with a shout-out to his team of brave patriots who keep him safe.
Politicians and even the White House issued statements expressing relief that Trump was unharmed.
Conclusion
Thankfully, this incident ended without any injuries or fatalities — thank goodness! It could have gone sideways real fast, and we’d have seen a lot of mourning across America today.
But was this all necessary? And did Trump understand the message?
I don’t think so. He’s too self-assured, having already stated with his usual swagger that his campaign will continue. We all know what kind of campaign that is — a campaign of hatred, racism, lies, and division. A campaign by a man who insults and degrades women, sneers at the poor, and acts like the world revolves around him.
So now that you’ve read all this, ask yourself: Who really painted the target on Trump’s forehead? His opponents? Immigrants he blames for everything?
Maybe it was the Black or Hispanic communities or the LGBTQ community, that stands for love?
In the end, the truth is sad but simple: Trump drew the target on his own head with his hateful words and lies. If he keeps this up, it might just cost him his life.
