“War and Peace” in Ukraine: By Donald Trump

Trump-Putin Negotiations and European Reactions; Tolstoj wrote the novel “War and Peace”, and Trump is rewriting a history of war and peace in Ukraine

Introduction

It appears that yet another one of Trump’s pre-election promises may come to fruition. A recent telephone conversation with Putin reportedly set in motion negotiations for a ceasefire and an end to the war in Ukraine — a move that has shocked and stunned Europe.

According to a post on Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, after a long and productive call, he and President Putin agreed to begin negotiations immediately to end the conflict in Ukraine.

As Trump put it: “We agreed that our teams should start talks right away.” Later, Ukrainian President Zelensky also stated that he and President Trump discussed a lasting and reliable peace.

This phone call with Putin followed earlier statements by Trump and his defense minister, who claimed it was highly unlikely that Ukraine would join NATO — effectively dashing Kyiv’s dream of eventual membership.

Even though President Zelensky has repeatedly emphasized that any discussion about Ukraine must include Ukraine and that the country must be part of all negotiations, the Trump–Putin call appears to contradict that principle, having been held without the knowledge of European leaders, Ukraine, or any other party.

The Shock in Europe

In the aftermath, leaders from seven European countries — caught somewhat off guard — declared after a meeting of foreign ministers in Paris that Europe must remain involved in any negotiations regarding Ukrainian–Russian peace and in all future discussions on Ukraine’s fate.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that any agreement to end the war should not be imposed on Ukraine and that Kyiv’s demands must not be overlooked.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth remarked that Trump is the only person capable of uniting both sides, ending the conflict, and establishing peace.

Following these developments — and amid statements from the USA, Russia, Europe, and Ukraine — NATO Secretary Mark Rutte and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov held a joint press conference.

Rutte said that NATO’s goal is to position Ukraine strongly in both negotiations and on the battlefield, ensuring that any outcome is robust and lasting so that Putin never again attempts to seize Ukrainian territory.

He also noted that over 50 billion euros have been invested in military support for Ukraine, and that a joint command structure between Ukraine and NATO has been established to help NATO learn key lessons from Ukraine.

Russians are Impressed

It seems the Russians were impressed by President Trump’s swift and decisive actions. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented on the Trump–Putin conversation, and his remarks conveyed enthusiasm for Trump’s approach.

Peskov stated that it is still too early to discuss when a Trump–Putin meeting might take place, but he expressed confidence that it will happen very soon. He also mentioned that while the Biden administration appears inclined to continue the war, Trump and his team are aiming for peace.

When asked about the return of territory to Ukraine, he said it was premature to discuss such details and cautioned against hasty conclusions. In response to questions about Chinese mediation in the Russian–Ukrainian conflict, he urged patience from journalists.

Regarding a potential Trump–Putin meeting, President Trump told reporters at the White House that the meeting would be held in Saudi Arabia, though no date was specified. On social media, he boasted that the two presidents had even invited each other to visit their respective capitals.

Although much of Europe is unsettled by Trump’s move — conducted behind its back and without the knowledge of European leaders — one European statesman has openly supported Trump’s initiative. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, known for his unabashed right-wing stance, has consistently backed Trump. He even went so far as to claim on social media that Europe cannot demand a seat at the negotiating table; it must earn one, whatever that may mean.

Conclusion

Regardless of whether this marks the beginning of the end of the Russian–Ukrainian conflict, the development is a positive sign.

Many hope that peace will come soon, but not at the expense of European security or by giving Putin free rein to act at will.

After all, Ukraine is on the European continent and directly affects every European country and the broader community. It is both natural and logical that Europe should be involved in achieving a peace agreement.

Now is the time for the USA, Europe, Russia, and Ukraine to join forces in finding a solution and ending this bloody and unnecessary conflict — a conflict that has already cost too many lives, both military and civilian.

The Third World War on the Horizon?

Analyzing Key Political and Military Movements That Could Spark a New Global Conflict and Examination of Escalating International Tensions and Defense Strategies

This is the picture of the third world war

Introduction

When we look at recent global events, it is hard not to wonder what is really happening. Has the world truly lost its mind? Is it possible that longtime allies now quarrel and threaten one another as if they were bitter enemies?

Europe—once the voice of reason and a stalwart of democracy—is now discussing nuclear deterrence, arming itself to the teeth, and earmarking billions of euros for weapons. Meanwhile, my country, Croatia—part of the European Community—is planning to build new factories for ammunition and grenades.

In Poland, ammunition factories are reportedly struggling to meet demand, with workers forced to run three shifts in order to produce enough rounds.

The United States, which until recently was considered a key ally of Europe, now—under President Trump, described by some as “more unpredictable than a tornado”—seems to have taken an entirely different view on alliances and NATO.

According to this narrative, Trump halted military aid to Ukraine and stopped sharing crucial security information needed for the war, while also threatening Russia with sanctions if it did not cease fire.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is said to be warning the entire world with nuclear threats, particularly targeting European nations that might side with Ukraine.

In a dramatic turn, Ukrainian President Zelensky is claimed to have been humiliated in the Oval Office during a visit to America, prompting him to turn to Europe—old-new allies alike—for help in arming and supplying his country.

The global situation has deteriorated markedly since President Trump assumed office and began his “MAGA” policy. New tariffs and controversial ideas seem to emerge daily, as if constantly dictated by Trump’s unpredictable agenda.

News of Near World War III

We are bombarded with such news from every medium—television, the internet, and newspapers alike.

Everyone has an opinion and their own perspective, yet one fact stands out: uncertainty and fear of potential conflict are spreading everywhere.

Never before has the world experienced such instability—not since the days preceding World War II, a conflict whose devastation we all remember.

War has brought nothing but misery, yet it appears that nations are now arming themselves and preparing for conflict. History teaches us that when weapons pile up, it is only a matter of time before they are put to use.

When we consider the current global political climate from every angle and take into account the daily shifts on the world stage, the outlook seems grim.

Every power is aligning itself, demonstrating its might, and showing its teeth. Instead of sitting together to resolve the Ukrainian conflict—the very crisis said to have ignited all this tension—no one wants to appear weak or give in first.

When the political situation becomes this heated, and so many states are drawn into the debate, history suggests that war is often the inevitable outcome.

This isn’t about a localized conflict like the one between Russia and Ukraine; it is portrayed as a potential global war of catastrophic proportions.

Add nuclear armaments into the mix, and we might be looking at an event that could wipe out the civilization we know.

Conclusion

Is it really true that nothing can be achieved through dialogue and diplomacy? It appears so since nobody seems willing to talk—even though many claim they are open to discussions. Instead, every leader insists on steering the conversation and determining the fate of the world.

Putin is defending Russia’s interests and its borders against NATO; Zelensky is defending Ukraine against Putin; Europe is defending both Ukraine and itself against Russia; and Trump—who claims to want peace—is depicted as having fanned the flames, allegedly determined to fulfill his pre-election promise by ending the war in Ukraine within 24 hours.

In short, absolute chaos seems to reign on all fronts—political, military, and even in the media, which churns out news every minute while struggling to keep up with events that change by the second.
For ordinary people, mere pawns in this game of giants, the only hope is to stay informed, keep a clear head and one's head on one's shoulders, and be thankful if everything does not culminate in an all-out war.
