Introduction

Tragically, another young life was lost in a senseless act of gun violence that occurred around 10 p.m. on Monday, June 30, near Mount Vernon Square in Washington, D.C. According to police and eyewitnesses, several shots were fired from a moving vehicle into a group of bystanders gathered in the area.

Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, a 21-year-old congressional intern from Granby, Massachusetts, was struck in the shooting and sadly succumbed to his injuries. The intern died after resuscitation efforts failed at the hospital on Tuesday, July 1.

Initial Police Reports

According to the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia, two other individuals — a woman and a 16-year-old boy — were also found wounded at the scene. Both survived and are being treated for their injuries in the hospital.

Detectives leading the investigation believe Eric was not the intended target and was caught in the crossfire — a victim of what they describe as a “spray of bullets.”

Police also recovered an abandoned vehicle suspected to have been used in the shooting, though the suspects remain at large. Authorities are urging anyone with information to call 202–727–9099 or text the department’s tip line at 50411. A reward of $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Who Was Eric Tarpinian-Jachym?

Eric was a senior-year student at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, holding an impressive GPA of approximately 3.82 out of 4.0. Indepedent

According to his social media profiles, he studied finance and political science and was expected to graduate in 2026. Since February, he had been a fellow in the Fund for American Studies program in Washington, where he befriended Phillip Petersen. Petersen described him as a “good, intelligent Republican” who was passionate about strengthening law enforcement in D.C.

Friends recall Eric as social, ambitious, and deeply committed to public service, with a drive to effect positive change through his political and financial education.

Eric was interning with Kansas Representative Ron Estes on Capitol Hill. According to his official website, Eric was serving as a congressional intern in Washington. Independent

On Wednesday, Rep. Estes offered condolences to the Tarpinian-Jachym family, recalling Eric as a cheerful and kind young man who greeted everyone in the office with a warm smile.

Statements from Politicians

Rep. Ron Estes said:

“I will remember his kind heart and how he always greeted anyone who entered our office with a cheerful smile. We are grateful to Eric for his service to Kansas’ 4th District and the country.” Washington Post

Rep. Richard Neal (Massachusetts) also expressed deep sorrow, emphasizing Eric’s passion for public service and civic engagement. People.com

Investigation and Next Steps

Law enforcement, with support from the FBI and ATF, is reviewing enhanced video footage from the scene. A suspect vehicle — a black Acura — was recovered in Prince George’s County, MD.

Police have yet to identify or apprehend the perpetrators, although the suspected vehicle has been located. Authorities may have leads on possible suspects, but are withholding details to protect the integrity of the active investigation.

At this stage, detectives believe the shooting may have been a gang-related conflict between rival groups, with Eric caught in the middle by sheer misfortune.

The police reiterated that any form of gun violence is unacceptable and continue to urge the public to come forward with information that could help bring justice in this case. Law enforcement stressed the importance of community cooperation to identify the attackers and curb violence in the D.C. area.

Conclusion

A young life was lost simply because Eric happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The bullets may not have been intended for him, but they prematurely ended his life regardless.

Does it even matter to Eric’s family and friends who the intended target was? Of course not. The shooting should never have happened in the first place.

Unfortunately, incidents like these are all too common in the United States, where innocent bystanders frequently fall victim to shootouts between rival gangs. Violent crime should never be a concern for random passersby, yet this tragedy proves that such violence often affects those who have nothing to do with it.

Now it is up to the police to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice. But one cannot help but wonder if it would have been far better had Eric’s life been saved by preventing this violent act from occurring at all.

The 4th of July, Independence Day: History, Celebrations & Traditions

Discover why July 4th matters — from the Declaration of Independence to fireworks, feasts, and the fun at America’s biggest holiday

Introduction

It’s July — the sun blazes, heat waves strike relentlessly, and temperature records are falling due to climate change. One of the biggest holidays in the entire USA is just around the corner: the 4th of July, or Independence Day, a day of immense significance for every American — and it’s only two days away.

This day is so important that Hollywood has immortalized it in films like Independence Day starring Will Smith and Born on the Fourth of July with Tom Cruise.

What Is the 4th of July and Why Is It Celebrated?

The USA wasn’t always a unified nation — it began as thirteen British colonies under monarchical rule. Tired of English arbitrary control and oppression, the so-called “Founding Fathers” decided to break away from Great Britain and establish a new, independent nation.

Independence Day, popularly known as the Fourth of July, marks the celebration of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. On that day, the thirteen American colonies officially severed political ties with the British Crown.

Though the Continental Congress voted for independence on July 2, 1776, the actual wording of the Declaration was finalized and ratified two days later; hence, July 4 became, and remains, celebrated as the birth of the nation.

Who Drafted the Declaration of Independence — and Why It Mattered

Thomas Jefferson was the principal drafter, working within the “Committee of Five” alongside John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston. Jefferson penned the initial draft between June 11 and June 28, 1776, after which Congress made edits and revised it several times.

The document comprises four key sections:

  1. Preamble — States natural rights and explains that governments derive their power from the governed, with the power to replace governments that fail to protect these rights. It famously begins: “We hold these truths to be self‑evident…”
  2. List of Grievances — Enumerates British abuses, including taxation without representation, quartering soldiers, and denial of trial by jury.
  3. Formal Declaration — Declares absolute independence and outlines the colonies’ new powers (waging war, trade, and diplomacy).
  4. Signatures — Final page bears the names of about 56 signers pledging their “Lives, Fortunes and sacred Honor.” John Hancock was the first signer on August 2, 1776. constitutionfacts.com

This Declaration demonstrated to the world — and to Britain — why the colonies sought independence. It grounded the nation in natural law ideology and influenced global movements for liberty and equality, including women’s rights. It remains a symbol of American values: freedom, equality, and self-governance.

How July 4 is Celebrated and Its Traditions

Celebrations on this day take place across America and are best known for their fireworks displays — a tradition dating back to 1777, inspired originally by European royal festivities

Besides fireworks, there are parades, both civic and military, including the official parade on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., washingtonpost.com

Concerts and speeches are common features of the day, along with church services and academic ceremonies.

What every true American eagerly anticipates on this day are barbecues, picnics, processions, and sporting events — especially baseball games, often accompanied by music and local customs. 123cards.com

Traditional Foods & Drinks

Independence Day features iconic American foods, particularly grilled items and seasonal fare:

  • Hot dogs, burgers, sausages — Essential to any BBQ.
  • Pulled pork, ribs, brisket — Particularly popular in the South and Midwest.
  • Salads — Potato salad, coleslaw, three‑bean, and baked beans.
  • Seasonal dishes — Grilled salmon with peas and new potatoes.
  • Desserts — American pies (apple, blueberry, cherry), “flag cake” (resembles the flag), ice cream, and patriotic drinks like sangria.

Fun Facts About July 4th

Three U.S. Presidents died on July 4th: John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Monroe all passed away on Independence Day. Adams and Jefferson both died on July 4, 1826 — the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence — and Monroe died exactly five years later on July 4, 1831. greenlight.com

Over $1 billion is spent annually on fireworks in the United States on July 4th. greenlight.com

Americans consume about 150 million hot dogs on that day every year. callmsi.com

On July 4, 1778, the Continental Army marked the holiday with a double ration of rum for the troops, ordered by General George Washington. livingadk.org

Conclusion

As you can see, July 4th is more than just a holiday — it’s a deeply rooted celebration of freedom, nationhood, and shared values. Through traditional parades, fireworks, BBQs, and more, Americans honor the courage of their founders and the liberties that define the country.

It’s worth acknowledging that independence did not initially mean freedom for all; Native Americans, enslaved people, and women remained excluded. Movements like Juneteenth highlight the ongoing journey to realize the Declaration’s promise for every American. time.com

Introduction

Blogging and writing articles online have become an art form in 2025, and earning money through online writing has become particularly demanding.

With AI’s exponential advancement, it has paved the way for producing an enormous number of articles, thereby creating fierce competition among writers.

Nevertheless, if you truly want it and are prepared to adapt, learn, and embrace new AI methods, it is possible.

In this article, we will focus on how to turn AI to your advantage — how to make it a tool that serves you and how to harness it to help you write and earn money.

What Has Changed in Online Blogging and Earning Money Through Writing in 2025?

Over the past twenty years, writing blogs has evolved from a hobby and pastime into a full-fledged online business. Even in the digital age of 2025, blogging remains a tried-and-true method of making money online. However, with the exponential development of AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Jasper, and DraftMaster, writing has become faster and more efficient.

Today, millions of new AI-assisted articles are published every hour, most of which are completely disposable and unreadable. Yet this flood of content creates tremendous competition for the individual writer. Why?

The answer is simple: most people use AI as the sole content creator. They write a prompt, AI spits out an article, then they copy, paste, and publish.

Yes, the article is done — but what kind of article is it? It’s an automatically generated heap of information, written in a dry, tone-deaf manner, devoid of heart, soul, and personal touch — qualities only a real human writer can provide. So, how can you compete with content creators churning out five to ten articles a day using AI?

Turn AI to your advantage. Don’t see it as an enemy but as an ally that will help you write and thus earn money. The key to a genuine, high-quality blog in 2025 is to use AI as an assistant for research, SEO, grammar checks, and suggestions, while ensuring the final text clearly shows a human author’s voice, style, tone, and personal stories.

Today, content is king for SEO optimization, and it’s crucial for your blog’s search engine ranking and visibility.

How to Write an Article and Make AI Your Tool and Ally

1. Preparation and Topic Research (Using AI as Your Assistant)

  • Niche Selection: AI can help you identify popular, profitable niches. For example, enter “blog niche 2025 low competition” and get realistic suggestions.
  • Keyword Research: Use AI tools (e.g., RightBlogger, Jasper, SurferSEO) to generate keyword ideas, search volumes, and competition metrics.
  • Audience Analysis: Ask ChatGPT to define your target audience’s demographics, needs, and challenges — this aids in personalization and building an engaged community.

2. Structuring and Planning Content, Then Writing the First Draft (with AI’s Role)

AI can help you create detailed outlines: main headings, subheadings, TL;DR sections, CTAs (calls to action), meta descriptions, and SEO-optimized titles. But ultimately, you choose what resonates with your voice and serves your audience best.

  • AI generates a basic text skeleton, but you must infuse it with a human tone.
  • Once AI provides the framework, you add personal insights, anecdotes, and unique examples.
  • Real-life examples or personal experiences are essential for Google’s E-E-A-T (experience, expertise, authority, trustworthiness) evaluation.

3. SEO Optimization and Text Review with AI Tools

  • AI suggests SEO-friendly titles, meta descriptions, and keywords, but you control keyword density, naturalness, and readability, avoiding “keyword stuffing.”
  • Implement topic clustering: a central theme plus related subtopics for better organization and SEO authority.
  • Use AI programs to generate images (e.g., MidJourney, DALL·E) and infographics; then creatively refine them to boost appearance and SEO.
  • Employ AI tools (Grammarly, RightBlogger, AI Proofread) to check grammar and style and ensure tone consistency.
  • Always verify for plagiarism and fact-check critical information; AI can sometimes fabricate or misstate facts.

4. Publication and Promotion

  • Create a newsletter to build your audience and email subscriber base.
  • Promote articles on Pinterest, which functions like a search engine and drives significant traffic.
  • Use social platforms — TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook — for short-form content: teasers, reels, video snippets.A lady with a tablet in her hand is standing and money is falling from the sky

5. Monetizing Your Blog in 2025

Now we come to the article’s most crucial part: monetization. The latest guidance in 2025 suggests that combining several revenue streams yields the best results:

  1. Display Advertising (AdSense, Ezoic)
  • Place banner, native, or in-content ads to earn from impressions and clicks.
  • Pros: passive income, minimal investment, easy integration.
  • Tip: Avoid intrusive ads; Google values clean layouts and fast loading.

2. Affiliate Marketing

  • Create SEO-optimized reviews, top-10 lists, and comparison articles. AI can structure and optimize these, while you maintain authenticity.
  • Earn commissions on conversions using affiliate links; join programs like Amazon Associates, ShareASale, ClickBank, or niche-specific networks.
  • Always disclose affiliate links to maintain reader trust.

3. Sponsored Posts

  • Brands pay you to feature their products or services in authentic posts.
  • Pros: high fees, authority building, long-term partnerships.
  • Use “nofollow” tags to avoid SEO penalties.

4. Digital Products

  • Sell e-books, courses, and guides — create once, sell continuously.
  • Pros: scalable passive income, less reliant on traffic and algorithms.
  • AI helps research, draft content, craft SEO descriptions, and plan marketing campaigns.

5. Subscription Content

  • Offer exclusive newsletters or communities (PatreonSubstack, Mighty Networks).
  • Readers pay monthly for premium content, such as analyses, Q&As, video series, and workshops.
  • Pros: steady revenue, engaged community.

6. Consulting and Coaching

  • Provide services, such as how to use AI in blogging, SEO training, etc.
  • Pros: high hourly rates, credibility boost.

Conclusion

As we have seen, writing and monetizing a blog in 2025 is more complex than before and usually requires diversifying revenue streams — ads, affiliate marketing, products, and services — alongside smart AI usage. You remain the author, the voice, and the creator of experiences that captivate and monetize your audience. Despite technological advances like AI and new content creation methods, the emphasis remains on the writer and the unique content that sets them apart.
